Old Dominion Renovators undertakes larger renovations and addition projects for single family homes, condominiums and small commercial buildings. We work as either a general contractor, bidding on your architect’s plans, or as a design-builder where we provide the architecture and construction.

• Major Renovations:  We renovate entire structures, inside and out, creating remarkable transformations.  Although most of our work is on older structures, we undertake major structural work to open up floor plans for modern living.

• Additions: We add to structures in almost every way possible.  We do “pop-ups” and we dig out basements, in addition to more conventional horizontal additions. Regardless of the direction of the addition, we strive to join new to old in a seamless whole that is architecturally pleasing.

• Old and Historic Structures:  We love old homes and focus our work on the older neighborhoods of Alexandria and Arlington, including Old Town Alexandria.

• Exterior Environments and Structures: Our work doesn’t stop at the doorway, we create outdoor environments with stone patios, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, pools and sport courts. 

• Commercial Structures:  We enjoy working with professionals and trade associations in transforming their spaces in the same way we do residential work.  Our commercial work has focused in Old Town.
